Suspended Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer LeShunda Austin was indicted Monday on two felony charges and a misdemeanor in connection with allegations that she sent threatening e-mails to herself and blamed someone else. A Mecklenburg grand jury returned indictments charging Austin with obstruction of justice, accessing a government computer in a scheme to defraud, and filing a false police report. The obstruction and computer access charges are felonies... Maj. Harold Medlock said Austin was in a domestic situation with that woman and another Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer. He would not say more about the e-mails. Austin, a police report shows, originally said she'd received an e-mail threatening bodily harm. Austin, an officer since March 1999, was suspended with pay and recommended for termination...
