Rodney Clemones, a lieutenant with the Floyd County Sheriff's Office, has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation, according to a news release issued by Chief Deputy Tom Caldwell. The matter involves allegations made against him in a domestic incident that occurred Thursday in Floyd County, Caldwell reported. Floyd County Police Chief Bill Shiflett has been asked to investigate the incident while Clemones is on leave. Details will be released after the investigation has been completed, or after any judicial action, if any, has been completed, Caldwell said. No charges have been filed, Caldwell said.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office has placed Lt. Rodney Clemones on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation into an incident that occurred while he was off duty on Thursday, a release from the sheriff's office reports. It reads: "The matter involves allegations made against him in a domestic incident that occurred in Floyd County and Chief Bill Shiflett has been asked to investigate the incident while Clemones is on leave. Full details will be released at such a time as the investigation has been completed or after any judicial action has been completed."
